This post will be continuously updated in the future as IM:SOOF evolves.

"What is IM:SOOF? What's included in it?"

IM:SOOF is a big project that's being tackled by mainly one person, with the help of other Idol Manager fans who have shared their suggestions and feedbacks. Because of that, working on everything that's planned for this mod and getting it all ready for release would take months, if not a whole year. Currently, IM:SOOF has over 60 scenarios planned out, some of them comprised of multiple dialogue sequences. Coming up with prototypes and drafts for each dialogue can take days. Add to that the writing, the assembling it and the testing, and a few lines of back and forth between two characters with branched paths becomes a time-consuming task to complete.

With that in mind, I decided to split the mod's planned content into chapters, each one with a specific theme. While I am not ready to share details on future chapters yet, what I am able to tell you for now is that each main chapter will include at least one main substory based on the chapter's theme, with other, smaller-scoped mini-chapters being a possibility.

In addition to all that, IM:SOOF features custom sound effects, illustrations and music, the latter including several scores from animes, games, and other media that served as inspiration for the creation of this mod, bringing even more emotion and depth to its content, and injecting an extra dose of life into the dozens of hours, thousands of words, and infinite love poured into this project.

IM:SOOF currently includes 40+ dialogues and 20+ events in its files, some of which are part of comprehensive substories with branching paths for you to take. This mod also adds new artwork, sound effects, characters and music to your game, bringing your Idol Manager experience to a whole new level of interactive storytelling.

"Do I have to pay for IM:SOOF?"

No, you won't have to pay to download the mod, or any of its base future patches and updates. There is, however, a Supporter System that I've put in place in order to give the project's most devoted fans an opportunity to make a contribution and help IM:SOOF turn into something even bigger and better.

"How can I support IM:SOOF?"

In order to become an official supporter, all you have to do is pick one of the supporter tiers from the list a bit further down this page, or you can simply download the mod and leave any amount you wish as a tip.  Each and every contribution is extremely appreciated, and all the money will be used to enhance the IM:SOOF experience in future chapters with custom soundtracks, custom artwork and other tidbits.

Of course, supporters will be appropriately rewarded for their contributions. Each different tier contains a specific set of rewards that go from getting access to exclusive content (such as bonus dialogues, events and substories that didn't make the cut for any of the chapters; idolized versions of some of the mod's most iconic characters; or bonus, secret options for certain events and dialogues), all the way to having a whole chapter of IM:SOOF dedicated to you. How awesome is that?

"How do I download and install IM:SOOF?"

Well, provided you own the base Idol Manager game, either on itch.io or Steam, it's easy. All you have to do is click on the download button on the mod's page on itch.io. Within the zipped file, you'll find all the files you need, along with a README with installation instructions.

If you own the game on Steam and would rather install the mod via Steam Workshop, all you have to do is head to the mod's page on the Steam Workshop and subscribe to it.

"Is IM:SOOF available in other languages?"

For the time being, IM:SOOF is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. However, if you'd like to help localize the mod to your native language, feel free to contact me on Discord, on Steam, or via e-mail (more details on that below)

"I would like to help with the development of the mod, share my ideas/feedback, translate IM:SOOF or ask a question. How can I do that?"

"Do I need to start a new game in order to use IM:SOOF?"

No, you don't. However, manually saving your game before enabling the mod is highly recommended, since eventual bugs and balancing issues may cause you some trouble.

"Will the mod be available on Steam Workshop?"

It already is ;)
